"We Will Continuously Discover New Faces"
With the June local elections approaching, the People Power Party will announce its first group of recruited talent next Monday, the 23rd. After unveiling this first group, centered on young people and women, the party plans to announce additional recruits every week.

After concluding the 3rd meeting of the People Power Party's Talent Recruitment Committee at the National Assembly on the 19th, Cho Jeonghun, chair of the committee, told reporters, "We have changed our plan so that Party Leader Jang Donghyuk and I will announce the first round of talent recruitment next Monday (the 23rd) right after the Supreme Council meeting."
Previously, the Talent Recruitment Committee had said it would announce the first round of talent recruitment immediately after its 3rd meeting. However, it appears the announcement was postponed in consideration of the fact that today is the day of the first-instance sentencing for former President Yoon Suk Yeol. Chair Cho said, "Internally, all the preparations for the announcement have been completed," adding, "We coordinated the timing with the party leader based on the judgment that a politically weighty schedule would overlap."
At its meeting that day, the Talent Recruitment Committee vetted around 200 resumes and narrowed them down to 30 candidates for the first round of intensive screening. Although the final number to be selected has not yet been decided, Chair Cho explained that it will likely be in the single digits. He said, "The first announcement will draw attention for its symbolism," and added, "I expect we will make the announcement focusing on young people and women."
After announcing the first group of recruits, the People Power Party plans to hold a welcoming ceremony around the 25th. Going forward, the party will announce newly recruited talent every week until mid-March. Emphasizing that "elections are ultimately about faces," Chair Cho said, "We will continuously discover new faces to embark on a fresh start together, so that the public can judge us by our freshness, expertise, and passion."
