The women's snowboard slopestyle final at the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, in which Yoo Seungeun of Seongbok High School was scheduled to compete, was postponed by one day due to heavy snowfall.

The Olympic Organizing Committee announced that the women's snowboard slopestyle final scheduled for the 17th (local time) had been postponed because of heavy snow. It will now take place at 2:30 p.m. on the 18th (10:30 p.m. Korea Standard Time).

The event was originally set to be held at 1:00 p.m. on the 17th (local time) at the Livigno Snowpark in Italy, but was postponed after heavy snow fell in Livigno, located in the Italian Alps. The organizing authorities deemed it dangerous to proceed because the thick snowfall was obstructing the riders' visibility and could affect their speed.

After the Organizing Committee and the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) first decided to postpone the event and then discussed a new schedule, they agreed to hold the competition one day later. Accordingly, the men's slopestyle final, which had been scheduled to start at 12:30 p.m. on the 18th, was moved up by one hour to 11:20 a.m., to be followed by the women's final.

On the 10th, Yoo Seungeun finished third in the women's snowboard big air, delivering the second medal of these Olympics to Team Korea. In slopestyle, she advanced to the 12-rider final, where the final rankings are decided, by placing third overall in the qualifiers with 76.8 points.

Slopestyle is an event in which riders traverse a course made up of rails and various other features on their boards, and their tricks are scored to determine the rankings. In the 12-rider final, where the medals are at stake, athletes take three runs from the first to the third, and their best score counts as their final result.

Although there are differences in course layout and run format, slopestyle also includes sections where riders launch off a kicker and perform aerial tricks, similar to big air, so many athletes compete in both disciplines. Yoo Seungeun, whose main event is big air, has also been competing internationally in slopestyle, including a fifth-place finish at the Harbin Winter Asian Games last year.

Yoo Seungeun won the bronze medal in the big air event at these Games. It was the first-ever Olympic medal by a Korean female snowboarder. After that, Choi Gawon of Sewha Girls' High School claimed Korea's second medal with a gold in halfpipe. Yoo Seungeun will now attempt to become the first Korean snowboarder to win multiple medals at a single Olympics in slopestyle.

Earlier the same day, the men's ski jumping super team event at the Predazzo ski jumping venue in Italy was abruptly called off during the third round due to heavy snowfall.

The super team event, introduced for the first time at these Games, features two athletes per country forming a team and accumulating points over a total of three rounds.

The competition was suddenly halted with only three jumps remaining before the end of the final third round.

Determining that it was difficult to ensure athlete safety because the heavy snow drastically reduced the inrun speed on the takeoff ramp and changed the wind direction, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation invalidated the third-round results and recognized the standings after the first two rounds as the final rankings.

In ski jumping, the competition proceeds in reverse order of the standings from the previous round. As a result, the inaugural championship title went to Austria, which scored 568.7 points. Poland took the silver medal with 547.3 points, and Norway claimed the bronze with 538.0 points.
