Jung Daeyun of the Seoul City Ski Association, the leading figure in Korean freestyle moguls skiing, was eliminated in the quarterfinals.

On February 15 (local time), Jung lost to Canadian "moguls emperor" Mikael Kingsbury in the men's dual moguls quarterfinals at the Aerial Moguls Park in Livigno, Italy, during the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics. He failed to complete his run in the quarterfinals and did not advance to the semifinals.

Moguls is an event in which skiers race down a bumpy slope covered with snow mounds (moguls) about 1 meter high, while also performing aerial tricks off jumps. Turns, aerial maneuvers, and time all factor into the final score. Dual moguls is a tournament-style moguls event in which two skiers race side by side in a one-on-one showdown, and it was introduced for the first time at these Games.

Jung defeated Olli Penttala of Finland 20-15 in the round of 32, his first race of the day, and then scored a dominant 26-9 victory over Paul Andrea Gay of France in the round of 16 to reach the quarterfinals. There, he faced Kingsbury, who boasts 100 victories in FIS World Cup events. Kingsbury is a top star who won gold in men's moguls at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics and took silver in moguls at Sochi 2014, Beijing 2022, and again at these Games.

In the early part of the quarterfinal, Jung matched Kingsbury's speed and successfully completed the first aerial rotation section, but after landing he began to lose balance, drifted off his own course and into the opposite lane, and ultimately failed to finish. As a result, he conceded a spot in the semifinals to Kingsbury, who scored 35 points. Lee Yunseung of Kyung Hee University, who also competed, was eliminated in the round of 32 after losing 12-23 to Dylan Walczyk of the United States.

In the semifinals, Kingsbury defeated Shimakawa Takuya 33-2, and in the final he beat Horishima Ikuma, both of Japan, 30-5 to become the inaugural men's dual moguls champion. The bronze medal went to Matt Graham of Australia.
