Using Onnuri Gift Certificates and Local Currency
On February 12, members and staff of the Sangju City Council in North Gyeongsang Province held a traditional market shopping event at Central Market and Pungmul Market to help revitalize the local economy ahead of the Lunar New Year holidays.

The shopping event was organized to stabilize the livelihoods of ordinary citizens who are struggling with high prices and to support small business owners. Participants used Onnuri gift certificates and local currency they had brought with them to purchase affordable and fresh food items for ancestral rites.
Chairperson Ahn Kyungsuk said, "Revitalizing traditional markets directly leads to revitalizing the local economy, so we ask for the interest and participation of citizens and all related institutions."
