Bought Entire "20 Billion Won" in Cash... BLACKPINK's Jennie Becomes a Yongsan Building Owner

After 5 Billion Won Villa, 20 Billion Won Building Purchase... Believed to Be Another All-Cash Deal

It has been reported that Jennie of BLACKPINK purchased a building in the Dongbinggo-dong area of Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for around 20 billion won. Given that no separate maximum mortgage has been registered on the property, it is highly likely that the transaction was conducted entirely in cash without any loans.

According to Korea Economic TV and other outlets on the 11th, Jennie signed a contract in May 2025 to purchase a building located in Dongbinggo-dong, Yongsan-gu, for 20 billion won and completed the registration of ownership transfer in December of the same year.

High-end residential and diplomatic district... Future value expected to rise

The building has one basement floor and two above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 551.08 square meters and a land area of 595 square meters, and is currently used by the Embassy of Iraq in Korea. The purchase price per pyeong is approximately 111 million won.

Completed in 1970, this building is located in the northern high-end residential and diplomatic line within Dongbinggo-dong. The surrounding area is considered a key zone where future value is expected to rise, in connection with projects such as the Hannam New Town redevelopment, the creation of Yongsan Park, and the development of returned U.S. military bases. In particular, the United Nations (UN) Command site, the Camp Kim site, and the U.S. military transportation unit site are cited as three major U.S. military return sites in Seoul.

Purchased an ultra-luxury villa with 5 billion won in cash in 2023

Earlier, in September 2025, Jennie leased a newly constructed building to be used as the office building of Odd Atelier (OA), a one-person agency she founded, and completed the move-in. The building is a neighborhood living facility with one basement floor and four above-ground floors, with a total floor area of about 280 pyeong, and is a premium building that offers a view of the Han River from the rooftop. According to industry sources, the security deposit ranges from 1.5 billion to 2.5 billion won, with monthly rent between 60 million and 80 million won, and the estimated sale price is said to be around 45 billion won.

In July 2023, she also purchased one unit of La Terrasse Hannam, a high-end villa within the UN Village in Hannam-dong, for 5 billion won in cash and completed the resident registration. With a supply area of 286 square meters (about 87 pyeong) and an exclusive area of 244.97 square meters (about 74 pyeong), it is a large, high-end residential facility with five rooms and three bathrooms. Before moving in, Jennie was reportedly living in another luxury villa nearby called The House.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK, the group Jennie belongs to, will make a comeback on the 27th with their third mini album "DEADLINE." The new album contains a total of five tracks, including the title track "GO."
