Naver Cloud Signs Supply Contract with Catholic Medical Center
Used by Around 20,000 People Across 22 Institutions Including Seoul St. Mary's Hospital
Second Case of Adoption by a Big 5 Tertiary General Hospital After Asan Medical Center
Naver Cloud said on the 10th that it has completed a supply contract to provide its artificial intelligence (AI) workplace collaboration tool Naver Works to the Catholic Medical Center (CMC).
This adoption marks another case of Naver Works being supplied to a Big 5 tertiary general hospital, following Asan Medical Center in Seoul, as it is now being introduced at Seoul St. Mary's Hospital. Naver Cloud plans to use this as an opportunity to further enhance work efficiency and communication environments at medical sites.
Naver Cloud announced on the 10th that it has completed a contract to supply its artificial intelligence (AI) business collaboration tool Naver Works to the Catholic Medical Center (CMC). Provided by Naver Cloud
CMC is the largest medical institution in Korea, operating eight affiliated hospitals and more than 6,000 beds, starting with the opening of St. Mary's Hospital in 1936.
Under this contract, around 20,000 executives and employees working at 22 institutions, including Seoul St. Mary's Hospital, Yeouido St. Mary's Hospital, Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital, the Catholic Educational Foundation, the Catholic University of Korea’s Seongui Campus, and its revenue-generating entities, will build an integrated collaboration environment using Naver Works. In addition, email and the overall work messenger system will be fully migrated to cloud-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
According to Naver Cloud, CMC highly evaluated Naver Works’ security framework and service stability compared with global collaboration tools. Medical institutions including CMC have so far taken a cautious stance toward adopting SaaS due to issues such as data security, personal information protection, and integration with existing systems. Naver Works’ ability to operate stably even under large-scale simultaneous access became a key factor in its selection.
The ability to provide customization that reflects the unique characteristics of hospital environments is also cited as an advantage. Naver Cloud supported the configuration of core functions needed in medical settings, such as real-time PC status display and conditional access control that differentiates available services depending on the access environment.
Naver Cloud plans to further expand into a smart work environment that supports tasks through message bots and incorporates AI technology. Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yuwon said, "The adoption of Naver Works by the Catholic Medical Center, which has the largest medical network in Korea, is an achievement that once again proves our technological prowess and operational capabilities," adding, "We will continue to advance our services so that Naver Works can become the optimal partner in the medical and public sectors, where security and stability are the top priorities."
