Kim Jaewon, a prospective candidate for governor of North Gyeongsang Province, announced that he held an opening ceremony for his election campaign office on the 8th and presented letters of appointment to the election committee.
The chief of the policy election committee position was assumed by former Yeungnam University professor Lee Sungkeun, who previously served as president of the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Development Institute and dean of the Graduate School of Public Administration at Yeungnam University.
In addition, former Gumi City Council chairs Kim Jaesang and Kim Taegun, and Shin Woncheol, vice president of the Korea Park Golf Association, were appointed as co-chairs of the election committee, while Baek Seungguk, director of the Gyeongbuk Sports Council, was appointed as head of the general political affairs headquarters.
The head of the organization headquarters position was assumed by Jo Youngsam, former secretary-general of the North Gyeongsang Provincial Party chapter of the Grand National Party, and the head of the external cooperation headquarters position was assumed by Song Saedal, former vice chair of the Daegu City Council.
