The morning low is forecast to range from minus 18 to minus 5 degrees Celsius, and the daytime high from minus 4 to 3 degrees Celsius. With cold wave advisories in effect for the central region, North Gyeongsang Province, eastern North Jeolla Province, and parts of inland South Gyeongsang Province, morning temperatures in most areas nationwide will remain low, between minus 15 and minus 5 degrees Celsius. Strong winds are also expected to continue for the time being, making it feel even colder, so people should take care to protect their health.

Until the morning, heavy snow of 1 to 3 centimeters per hour is expected in the western part of the Jeolla region, Jeju Island, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo. In the mountainous areas of Gangwon Province, South Chungcheong Province, and the western inland of North Gyeongsang Province, there will be places where less than 0.1 centimeters of snow will be blowing before dawn. In areas where snow falls, much of the accumulated snow is expected to freeze and create icy roads, so people should be especially careful to avoid safety accidents. The expected snowfall for the 7th and 8th is 3 to 8 centimeters in North Jeolla Province and the western parts of Gwangju and South Jeolla Province; 1 to 3 centimeters in northeastern South Jeolla Province; 10 to 30 centimeters on Ulleungdo and Dokdo; 10 to 20 centimeters in the mountainous areas of Jeju Island; and 5 to 15 centimeters in the mid-mountain and eastern areas of Jeju Island.

Waves are expected to reach 1.0 to 3.5 meters off the east and west coasts, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters off the south coast. In the outer offshore waters (the open sea within about 200 kilometers of the coastline), wave heights are expected to be 2.0 to 5.0 meters in the East Sea, 1.0 to 4.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.5 to 4.0 meters in the South Sea.
