Lee Beomsoo and Lee Yunjin Divorce by Mutual Agreement: "We Agreed to Support Each Other"

16 Years of Marriage, "We Resolved Our Misunderstandings"

Actor Lee Beomsoo (56) has divorced translator Lee Yunjin (43) by mutual agreement. This comes two years after the lawsuit surfaced and 16 years after their marriage.

Lee Beomsoo's agency Y1 Entertainment said on the 6th, "The legal procedures related to the divorce have been completed after an amicable agreement." It continued, "Through sufficient discussion, they resolved their misunderstandings and agreed to support each other going forward as the parents of their children."

The agency went on to say, "During the divorce process, there were speculative reports and distorted interpretations that differed from the facts, and we would like to correct these," adding, "The speculative reports related to Lee Beomsoo are not true, and we clearly state that the agreement between the parties was reached amicably. We respectfully request that any further groundless speculation, criticism, or spreading of false information targeting Lee Beomsoo, Lee Yunjin, and their family be stopped."

The agency emphasized, "Above all, for the stability and privacy of the children, we ask that there be no further comments or speculative reports regarding the couple's married life or the divorce process."

Lee Yunjin also expressed her position directly by posting a handwritten letter on social media. In the letter, she wrote, "After about 15 years of marriage, we have gone through an amicable agreement and decided to divorce by mutual consent," and added, "We have resolved the misunderstandings that arose from a lack of conversation and communication during our marriage, and we have decided to respect and support each other in our respective places as the parents of our children going forward."

Lee Beomsoo and Lee Yunjin married in 2010 and have one son and one daughter. They showed a happy family life on the KBS2 variety show "The Return of Superman." However, it became known in March 2024 that their marriage had broken down, and they subsequently engaged in divorce litigation. Lee Yunjin is currently working as the Korea representative at a resort in Bali.
