Spa in a hot pot-shaped pool...unusual experience goes viral

Recently, Egbert released a video on his Instagram showing himself experiencing the spa. He said, "There is a hot pot spa in China, and it is the strangest place I have ever seen. It's crazy," adding, "There are real jalapenos and chili peppers in it; one side of the water is red, and the other side is milky with vegetables in it."

In addition to the "hot pot spa," the venue offers various concept-based experiential pools. In a pool filled with jelly beads (Orbeez), visitors can soak and relax, and there is also a fish spa where small fish remove dead skin from your feet. There are also pools infused with herbs and flowers, a sauna, relaxation areas, and dining spaces.

The outdoor hot pool is particularly eye-catching. Egbert said, "This spa is located in Harbin, China, which is famous for hosting the world's largest ice festival. Inside, there is a polar-themed spa, and outdoors, there is a hot spring of about 39 degrees Celsius that you can enjoy in the snow."

The video has gone viral, recording more than 2 million views on Instagram. One user commented, "This is truly bizarre. I really want to visit someday," while another described it as a "dream destination." Other reactions included, "I don't think the acidity of my body could handle this, but it still looks amazing," and, "It must feel like becoming an ingredient in a dish in a cartoon, without realizing what's going on."

Red broth made by infusing roses...company says it's a place to create memories

The "hot pot spa" already became a hot topic in China last year as a unique experiential venue. According to Hong Kong media outlet HK01, the company explained that the red color of the broth comes from infusing roses, which are removed after a certain period of time. The chili peppers floating on the surface are a non-spicy variety, and the company added that they help promote metabolism. Milk is added to the white broth to give it a texture similar to hot pot stock, and the vegetables placed in the pool are regularly replaced depending on on-site conditions.

The company said, "The hot spring pools are staged to provide a differentiated experience, mainly for tourists to take photos and create memories," emphasizing that they are not facilities intended for health or therapeutic benefits.
