Outgoing President Park Jungjin Steps Down, New President Lee Sookgi Inaugurated... "We Will Fully Serve as a Bridge for Regional Development"
The Cheongdo County Village Leaders Association, which serves as a bridge on the very front line of Cheongdo County administration, has ushered in new leadership and taken a vigorous step forward for regional development.
Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced that on the 5th it held an "Inauguration and Retirement Ceremony for the President of the Village Leaders Association" at the indoor gymnasium of the National Sports Center, organized by the Cheongdo County Village Leaders Association.
Approximately 150 people, including Cheongdo County Governor Kim Hasu, the chairperson of the county council, heads of local institutions and organizations, executives of the association, and village leaders, attended the event.
The event proceeded in the following order: presentation of plaques of appreciation, a farewell address by outgoing president Park Jungjin, an inaugural address by new president Lee Sookgi, congratulatory remarks, and introduction of the executives.
Outgoing president Park Jungjin, who led the association during the previous term, said, "I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all the village leaders who have actively cooperated in the association's activities," and added, "I will support our association to become more united and soar higher under the leadership of the newly inaugurated president, Lee Sookgi."
Newly inaugurated president Lee Sookgi presented "communication" and "harmony" as the core keywords in his inaugural address.
President Lee stated, "I will regard creating an association based on mutual respect and cooperation as our top value," and expressed his ambition by saying, "We will faithfully convey the vivid voices of residents to the administration and take the lead in improving residents' quality of life and advancing regional development."
In his congratulatory remarks, Cheongdo County Governor Kim Hasu said, "The village leaders, who have watched over blind spots in administration and protected village communities, are truly the leaders who support the local community and a strong bridge connecting county administration and residents," and added, "I expect that under the outstanding leadership of President Lee Sookgi, the Village Leaders Association will make another leap forward and further strengthen its solidarity."
