Suwon Discusses Emergency Treatment Measures for Lunar New Year Holiday

Suwon in Gyeonggi Province has discussed emergency medical measures for the Lunar New Year holiday.


The Suwon city government announced on the 5th that it held the "2026 First Half Suwon Emergency Medical Council Meeting" at the main auditorium of Jangan-gu Public Health Center on the 4th, where it reviewed key emergency medical issues including emergency medical measures for the Lunar New Year holiday.


Officials from Suwon Public Health Center, Suwon Fire Station, Suwon Nambu Fire Station, and emergency medical institutions attended the meeting.


The participants inspected the emergency medical system for the Lunar New Year holiday and shared information on hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies that will be open during the holiday. They also reviewed the roles of public health centers, fire stations, and emergency medical institutions, and discussed ways to establish and respond through an inter-agency emergency medical cooperation system.

The Suwon city government will maintain emergency medical institutions and an emergency treatment system during the Lunar New Year holiday period. It also plans to actively cooperate with relevant organizations so that medical institutions and pharmacies that are open during the holiday can operate smoothly.


Information on medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the holiday can be found on the Suwon city government website, the main page of the Suwon Public Health Center website, the emergency medical information website, or through the "Emergency Medical Information Service" app operated by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.


An official from Jangan-gu Public Health Center said, "The Emergency Medical Council will work closely together to maintain the emergency medical system during the Lunar New Year holiday and do its best to prevent any gaps in medical services."
