Hands-On Training in Smartphone Photo and Video Editing
Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province announced that it will run the "Visiting Media Workshop Training" program for residents in 13 towns and townships within the county through April.
This training program is organized by the Media Workshop located in the Hwasun County Youth Center and operates in a format where applicants form small groups and apply, and instructors then visit the location of their choice. By moving beyond a fixed training space and operating on-site, the program improves residents' accessibility and participation.
Applications can be submitted through the relevant town or township Administrative Welfare Center, or through the Media Workshop at the Hwasun County Youth Center. After advance application, the training schedule is finalized through coordination.
The curriculum is practice-oriented, using participants' personal smartphones and the CapCut editing program to create videos from photos. The training is conducted step by step so that even residents with no prior media production experience can easily follow along.
In particular, the program focuses on creating content that can be used immediately in daily life, such as promoting the county government, local events, and agricultural products. Through small-group, customized practice, participants produce videos on topics they need, helping them improve their media utilization skills.
Jomi Hwa, head of the Population and Youth Policy Division, said, "Through field-oriented training, we hope that residents will become more familiar with media production and actively use media in their daily lives."
Meanwhile, Hwasun County plans to actively support residents in strengthening their media utilization capabilities through on-site, small-group training, and in developing practical promotional skills that enable them to publicize their community and agricultural products on their own. After the training, a satisfaction survey will be conducted and reflected in the operation of future programs.
