Jindo County in South Jeolla Province held its February regular assembly on February 2 in the county office’s main conference room for all employees, sharing the direction of county administration and having time for communication.

According to the county, a donation ceremony by a local entrepreneur was also held during the regular assembly. Kim Heesuk, CEO of Jeiltaka Co., Ltd., donated 20 million won to the Hometown Love Donation program and 10 million won to the Jindo County Talent Development Scholarship, expressing her affection for Jindo and her commitment to fostering local talent.

The county stated that it plans to use the donated funds and scholarships meaningfully for regional development and the cultivation of future talent.

Jindo County Governor Kim Heesu, in his remarks encouraging the staff, requested thorough preparedness for various disasters and calamities through preemptive inspections and on-site focused responses, noting that this is a period when the risk of livestock epidemics and wildfires is increasing.

He also emphasized the need for meticulous attention to marginalized and vulnerable groups ahead of the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday, and called for thorough preparations to minimize inconvenience for residents during the holiday period, including improvements to living environments and inspections of convenience facilities.

The county plans to continue using regular assemblies to consistently share the direction of county administration, strengthen communication with employees, and realize on-site-focused administration and resident-centered governance that county residents can tangibly experience.
