Only Necessary Parts Replaced After Precision Disassembly
Reduced Repair Costs and Less Electronic Waste
Starting from February 3, Samsung Electronics will expand its 'foldable phone display-only repair' service.
The display-only repair service involves disassembling the display component, bezel, and case to replace only the necessary parts. Because the components attached to the display must be individually separated, this process requires advanced specialized equipment and highly skilled engineers.

This newly available display-only repair service will be offered at the service centers in Masan, Gyeongsangnam-do and Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
Display-only repair maximizes the reuse of usable components, thereby reducing electronic waste, and allows customers to save on repair costs.
In 2024, Samsung became the first in the industry to introduce foldable phone display-only repair at 13 service centers, and now the service is available at most centers.
Because service engineers use specialized equipment to meticulously disassemble and reassemble the components, the average work time is more than twice as long compared to the conventional method of replacing the entire assembly.
The number of customers using the display-only repair service in 2025 increased more than fivefold compared to when it was first introduced in 2024. The accumulated cost savings from repairs have also exceeded 8 billion won.
Park Sungje, Executive Director and Head of the Technology Team at Samsung Electronics Service, said, "Through display-only repair, we are enhancing the service experience for Galaxy users," adding, "We will continue to provide services that meet the needs of our customers in their daily lives."
