Up to 2 Million Won for Monthly Rent,
1.5 Million Won for Jeonse Loan Interest
Applications Accepted on Website from February 2 to 27
On February 2, Dongjak District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Ilha) announced that it will continue the "Monthly Rent and Jeonse Deposit Loan Interest Support Program for Youth and Newlyweds," which was implemented last year to ease the housing cost burden for young people.
The program targets single-person households and newlywed couples who have completed their marriage registration, are between the ages of 19 and 39 (born between 1986 and 2007), do not own a home, reside in Dongjak District according to their resident registration, and are currently using either monthly rent or jeonse loan programs.
The recruitment quota is 220 people for monthly rent support and 100 people for jeonse deposit loan interest support, totaling 320 recipients. For monthly rent, up to 200,000 won per month will be provided for up to 10 months. For jeonse deposit loan interest, a lump sum of up to 1.5 million won will be paid, within 2% of the remaining loan balance.
Applications can be submitted through the integrated reservation system on the Dongjak District website from 9:00 a.m. on February 2 to 6:00 p.m. on February 27. Duplicate applications for both monthly rent and jeonse deposit loan interest support are not allowed.
The list of recipients will be announced on the Dongjak District Office website and notified individually by text message on March 6. After completing the required procedures, including document submission, the housing support will be provided. For further inquiries, contact the Youth and Adolescent Division of Dongjak District Office at 02-820-9306.
Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak District, stated, "The burden of housing costs is one of the biggest concerns for young people and newlyweds," and added, "We will continue to implement practical housing policies so that the younger generation can settle in the community with stability."
