According to the gaming industry on January 31, Devsisters is holding the 'Fateful Gathering' fan festival at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, for two days starting today to celebrate the 5th anniversary of the launch of 'Cookie Run: Kingdom.'

This event is the largest offline fan festival ever, themed around the story of 'Dark Enchantress Cookie,' who is at the center of the 'Cookie Run: Kingdom' narrative, and the surrounding Cookie army. The program features a comprehensive array of stage performances, exhibitions, and interactive content in a 23,100-square-meter venue, which is about five times larger than the venue used for the 4th anniversary event.

The venue is designed to resemble the stronghold of Dark Enchantress Cookie, as if the vast world of 'Cookie Run: Kingdom' has been brought to life. The large Dark Enchantress Cookie sculpture at the entrance, along with exhibitions and displays themed around 'Ancient Cookie' and 'Beast Cookie,' further enhance the immersive experience.

During the event, a special stage program will feature a talk show with voice actors and developers. They will present the Cookie narrative through live performances and behind-the-scenes stories. CEO Cho Gilhyun, Chief Intellectual Property Officer Lee Eunji, and 'Cookie Run: Kingdom' Producer Kim Ihwan will also hold a special talk show to share the direction of the Cookie Run universe, the development journey, and plans for expansion. Attendees can also enjoy a variety of activities, including Nanta and magic performances, cosplayer events, OST ensemble performances, and mission-based participatory content.

The Pokemon card game tournament also begins its preliminary rounds today. Regional qualifiers will be held in a tournament format at 10 Pokemon Card Shops nationwide-including Yongsan and Yeoksam in Seoul, Suwon in Gyeonggi Province, Wonju in Gangwon Province, Daegu, and Busan-until February 22. A total of 32 players will earn spots in the finals.

There are no age restrictions for participation, and matches are decided in a single 30-minute round. Online registration is available until the day before each tournament, and on-site registration is possible for any remaining spots on the day of the event. Separate from the annual Korea League, this event uses pre-built beginner decks to maintain the unique strategic fun of the Pokemon card game while making it easy for new players to join.

The finals will take place on the last day of February at Art Hall 2 of Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP). On the day of the finals, participants-including those who were eliminated in the regional qualifiers-will have another chance to compete for a spot in the finals. The top 32 players from this round will advance, making a total of 64 players who will compete in a tournament to determine the champion.
