Daegu Office of Education to Hire 24 Elementary Neulbom Specialists on One-Year Contracts, Less Than 15 Hours per Week

The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education's School Support Center, led by Director Park Jeonghee, announced on January 29 that it will support the "Elementary Neulbom Specialist Recruitment Work" to provide stable after-school care services for the 2026 academic year and to reduce administrative work at schools.

This support is designed to significantly reduce the administrative burden on schools by having the School Support Center handle cumbersome tasks such as recruitment announcements, application submissions, and document screening during the new semester, when schools need to focus on curriculum preparation.

The recruitment is for Elementary Neulbom Specialists (one-year contract, less than 15 hours per week). Anyone with a kindergarten, elementary, or secondary teaching certificate or a childcare teacher level 2 or higher qualification is eligible to apply.

An official from the Daegu School Support Center stated, "We will hire 24 Elementary Neulbom Specialists to work at 23 schools, and they will be employed for one year."

Applications for this recruitment will be accepted online through the School Support Center's website from January 29. The center will handle the entire document screening process, and the schools will conduct interviews before announcing the final successful candidates on February 13.

This support, in particular, enhances convenience for applicants through integrated online applications and further strengthens transparency and fairness in the recruitment process.

Park Jeonghee, Director of the Daegu School Support Center, said, "We hope this support will allow schools to focus on providing stable after-school care services, free from administrative work burdens. We will continue to listen to the voices from the field and expand practical support services that schools need."
