Lotte Mart Launches Table Price Stabilization Event... Jeju Cooperative Radishes for 990 Won

Discount Event from January 29 to February 4
Seafood Festival Discounts and Holiday Table Pre-Orders Available

On January 28, Lotte Mart announced that it will hold a "Table Price Stabilization Special Exhibition" from January 29 to February 4.

To begin with, for the first four days of the event, Jeju-grown "cooperative radishes (per piece, domestic)" will be sold at a special price of 990 won. This initiative is designed to support Jeju farmers, who have been struggling with poor harvests due to climate factors, while also easing the financial burden on consumers.

Radish crops have experienced reduced growth following the autumn rainy season, affecting overall winter yields. In particular, Jeju, the main production area for winter radishes, has recently seen frequent rainfall, resulting in an increase in thinner and smaller radishes and an overall decline in quality.

In response, Lotte Mart has jointly purchased 120 tons of Jeju radishes that are either small or have minor blemishes together with Lotte Super, and will sell them at about 50% lower prices compared to regular products.

In addition to winter radishes, a variety of seasonal agricultural products will be offered at reasonable prices. "Cooperative Jeju Hallabong tangerines and Cheonhyehyang tangerines (each 1.5kg per pack, domestic)" will be sold for 9,990 won and 11,990 won, respectively. "All strawberry items (specifications vary by product, domestic)" will be discounted by 2,000 won per pack when purchasing two or more packs. The popular winter snack "sweet chestnut sweet potatoes (100g, domestic)" will be available for 329 won, and "Jeju carrots (1.5kg per box, domestic)" can be purchased for 4,990 won from January 30 to February 1.

At the seafood section, a seafood festival will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries. "Prepared freshwater eel japonica (100g, refrigerated, domestic)" will be available for 3,377 won with the seafood festival benefit and additional event card discount. "Wando live abalone (medium, 10 pieces, refrigerated, domestic)" will be sold for 12,160 won, and "prepared squid (3 pieces per pack, refrigerated, offshore)" will be offered at a 20% discount for 8,792 won. In addition, "large price-stabilized hairtail (large, per fish, thawed, domestic)" using government reserve stock will be offered at 4,050 won, 20% cheaper than market price, and "assorted raw fish platter (flatfish, salmon, red shrimp; specifications vary by product)" will be available to L.POINT members at a 30% discount for 24,990 won.

Popular meats, both domestic and imported, will be widely discounted. Notably, premium Korean beef "Marble Nine sirloin (Grade 1++(9), per 100g, refrigerated, domestic)" will be available for 14,980 won. "First-grade selected brand pork shoulder and ham (each 100g, refrigerated, domestic)" will be sold for 1,990 won and 1,290 won, respectively. For L.POINT members, "imported refrigerated braised short ribs (per 100g, refrigerated, imported)" will be offered at a 30% discount, and "imported LA galbi (1kg, frozen, imported)" will come with a 10,000 won discount benefit.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Lunar New Year, Lotte Mart will, for the first time, operate an "Online Pre-Order for Holiday Table Setting." From January 31 to February 5, customers can pre-order five types of holiday foods through the online channel "Lotte Mart ZETTA" at discounts of up to 3,000 won. Representative products include the "Assorted Jeon Platter (pack)," which brings together four popular types of jeon such as Omisan-jeok and Dongtae-jeon, available for 12,990 won, and the "Namul Set (pack)," a set of three types of seasoned vegetables for ancestral rites, offered for 6,990 won.

Hong Yunhee, MD (Merchandiser) of the Lotte Mart & Super Vegetable Team, said, "As a leading grocery distribution channel in Korea, we are continuously expanding our selection of cooperative products that consider both farmers and consumers," adding, "We plan to keep introducing fresh foods that help reduce the burden on customers through ongoing collaboration with production regions."
