Dongmyung Kim, CEO and President of LG Energy Solution, emphasized to partner companies the importance of "turning crisis into a turning point." LG Energy Solution plans to focus this year on rebalancing its portfolio, including electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems (ESS).

On January 26, LG Energy Solution announced that it had held the '2026 Partners Day' in Yeouido, Seoul, bringing together domestic and international partners to foster mutual growth and prepare for the future.

In his welcome speech, CEO Kim stated, "This year, we plan to focus on translating our past efforts into tangible results through portfolio rebalancing and operational efficiency." He added, "To seize opportunities in the rapidly growing ESS market, we will enhance product diversity and supply stability, while in the EV sector, we will manage profitability and risks in a stable manner and firmly establish our mid- to long-term product competitiveness."

He continued, "The word 'crisis' is derived from the Greek noun 'Krisis' and the verb 'Krino,' meaning a 'turning point.' With strong trust and cooperation, let us work together to turn this period of industry adjustment into an opportunity for even greater growth."

This event was attended by representatives from more than 80 of LG Energy Solution’s key partners in battery materials, components, and equipment.

From LG Energy Solution, key executives including CEO Kim, Chief Strategy Officer Changbeom Kang (Executive Vice President), Chief Technology Officer Jeyoung Kim (Executive Vice President), Chief Quality Officer Jaehan Jung (Executive Vice President), and Head of Procurement Center Kangyeol Lee (Executive Vice President) were present.

LG Energy Solution also shared its business strategy for the year and its mid- to long-term vision with partner companies.

Executives from each division took the stage as presenters to share ▲ global policy and key regulatory changes ▲ global market outlook and business strategy direction ▲ research and development roadmap ▲ quality management strategy ▲ procurement and operations strategy, presenting concrete action plans.

LG Energy Solution pointed out that the global battery market is entering a "value shift" period, where value is being redefined beyond electric vehicles to include ESS and other industries. The company stressed that in order to proactively respond to this trend, it is essential to focus capabilities on innovating the customer experience based on overwhelming quality and technological leadership.

Additionally, the company shared that, in response to increasingly diversified global supply chain requirements, it is essential to view the entire process from materials to finished products as a single ecosystem and to work closely with partners to establish a rapid response system for regulatory compliance.

To this end, LG Energy Solution plans to build a global R&D system, strengthen cost competitiveness, and advance its quality management processes, working with partner companies to secure world-class supply chain competitiveness.
