"Queen of Homemaking" Martha Stewart Featured in Fashion Magazine Interview
"Procedures and Daily Care Have Shaped My Current Face"
The youthful appearance of American billionaire entrepreneur Martha Stewart, who is 84 years old this year, is drawing attention. Stewart appeared on a local media outlet and personally revealed her skincare secrets.
On January 23 (local time), US media outlets such as Fox News reported that Stewart appeared in the Vogue fashion magazine's "Get Ready With Me" video. Stewart is the first self-made female billionaire in the United States, having started her career as a stockbroker on Wall Street and now working as a TV program host. Since 1990, she has also been running the lifestyle magazine and TV program "Martha Stewart Living."
During her interview with Vogue, Stewart appeared with a nearly bare face, showing her skin. When asked about the secret to her youthful looks, she emphasized, "I haven't had plastic surgery," adding, "Consistent lifestyle management, treatments like Botox or fillers, and regular daily care are what have shaped my face today."
Stewart shared that every morning, after washing her face, she relaxes her skin by placing a towel soaked in warm water on her face for one minute. She then cools her face with a cold towel for another 20 seconds. Regarding the effectiveness of this "towel care," she explained, "It gradually wakes up the sluggish facial blood flow from sleep and helps relieve tension on the skin's surface," and noted, "The principle is to press the towel gently, not rub it."
She continued, "Diet is also an essential factor. I eat a light breakfast, and my meals are based mainly on vegetables and fruits," adding, "It's also important to consciously ensure protein intake."
When it comes to makeup, she mainly chooses products that enhance the skin's vitality and focuses on giving her face a healthy glow. Stewart also emphasized the importance of keeping a consistent sleep schedule and avoiding excessive nighttime activities to maintain a healthy daily rhythm.
She said, "I admire 'super agers' who continue to work even at an advanced age," adding, "I want to live that way, too."
Meanwhile, in 2004, while working as a stockbroker, Stewart was investigated over allegations of insider trading. At the time, she was cleared of insider trading charges but was convicted of obstruction of justice and perjury, resulting in five months in prison. Afterward, Stewart left Wall Street and began a new career as a television host. She became especially known for content related to home life, such as cooking and cleaning, earning her the nickname "Queen of Homemaking."
