Seoul Morning Low to Hit Minus 11 Degrees
Cheorwon Expected to Drop to Minus 18 Degrees
According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the morning lows on the 25th are forecast to range from minus 18 to minus 2 degrees Celsius, with daytime highs between minus 5 and 6 degrees. Morning temperatures in central regions are expected to fall to around minus 10 degrees, and strong winds will make it feel even colder. The Korea Meteorological Administration advised, "As the cold weather continues, please take extra care of your health."
In some central regions and the Jeolla area, snow remains on the ground, and as temperatures drop overnight, there is a high likelihood of icy patches forming on roads. Since the risk of traffic accidents is elevated, drivers are urged to exercise particular caution.
The weather nationwide will generally be clear, but clouds will gradually increase from late afternoon. The Jeolla region and Jeju Island are expected to see partly cloudy skies throughout the day.
On Ulleungdo and Dokdo, snow or rain that began the previous day will continue, with expected snowfall of 5 to 15 centimeters and precipitation of 5 to 10 millimeters. The west coasts of Chungnam and Jeolla, as well as Jeju Island, may see light snow flurries of less than 0.1 centimeters until dawn. Fine dust concentrations are expected to remain at 'good' levels in all regions nationwide.
At sea, winds and waves will be somewhat rough. Wave heights are forecast to be 1.0 to 3.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5 to 2.0 meters in the South Sea. In offshore areas, waves are expected to reach 1.0 to 4.0 meters in the East Sea, 0.5 to 2.5 meters in the West Sea, and 1.0 to 2.5 meters in the South Sea.
