Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, will depart on January 25 to attend the 19th Asian Financial Forum held in Hong Kong.
Lee Changyong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, is delivering a New Year's address at the '2026 Pan-Financial New Year Meeting' held at Lotte Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 5th.
The Hong Kong Asian Financial Forum is a global finance and economy forum jointly hosted every year by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. This year, it will be held from January 26 to 27 under the theme "New Frontiers, Collaboratively Forged in a Changing Environment." Governor Lee is scheduled to participate as a panelist in a session on January 26 titled "Charting the Future of Finance in Times of Uncertainty."
During his business trip, Governor Lee plans to meet with representatives from local central banks, government agencies, international organizations, and financial institutions to exchange views on the global financial and economic situation. On January 28, he will also engage in a discussion at the "Global Macro Conference" hosted by Goldman Sachs, under the theme "Policymaking in an Era of Global Divergence."
