"Privacy and Data Security as Top Priorities"
Naver announced on January 23 that it has published the "Naver Personal Information Protection Report," which summarizes its personal information protection activities over the past year, as well as the "Naver Privacy White Paper," which contains specialized research findings on privacy.
Since 2012, Naver has transparently released its "Personal Information Protection Report" every year. The report details Naver's key personal information and privacy protection activities carried out over the past year, including responses to domestic regulations, efforts to strengthen transparency, initiatives to enhance awareness of personal information protection, and increased collaboration with partner companies.
The Privacy White Paper includes research findings on topics such as "Legal Issues of Personal Information Protection in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Agent Environment" (by Professor Byungphil Kim of KAIST Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy) and "Redefining the Scope of Indirectly Identifiable Information and Personal Information Processing Systems" (by Attorney Koo Tae-eon of LIN Law Firm). Since 2015, Naver has published a Privacy White Paper every year, featuring expert research from academia and research institutions on the topics of personal information protection and privacy.
