Polaris Office is joining forces with NexoneSoft to target the security market in the public and financial sectors. This collaboration goes beyond a simple combination of solutions; it is noteworthy for activating a multifaceted sales strategy that leverages the strong dominance of its group affiliate, HandySoft, in the public sector market.
On January 23, Polaris Office announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with NexoneSoft, an integrated security and data specialist, to promote the "Integrated Mobile Security Business." Through this agreement, the two companies plan to target the fragmented mobile security market with an integrated package approach, aiming to dramatically enhance their competitiveness in securing contracts.
The core pillars of this strategy are "packaging" and "channel expansion." By combining NexoneSoft’s strengths-integrated simple authentication, virtual keypad, and data de-identification technologies-with Polaris Office’s mobile antivirus solution "V-Guard," the companies will jointly develop an "All-in-One Security Package" and a "Next-Generation Work System Response Package Based on Generative AI and LLM." With the adoption of a single package, customers will be able to address all security threats in the mobile work environment, from malware detection and input security to the prevention of personal information leaks.
Of particular interest in the market is the synergy strategy with HandySoft, the B2G (business-to-government) affiliate of Polaris Group. Polaris Office will use HandySoft’s sales network, a dominant player in the public and financial groupware market, as a forward base to launch aggressive cross-selling initiatives. The strategy is to propose the security package as a default option to public institutions and financial companies where HandySoft supplies groupware, thereby securing new revenue streams.
For HandySoft, this also opens up powerful up-selling opportunities. By supplying advanced security packages to existing groupware customers, the company can maximize profitability. To this end, the two companies are prioritizing the optimization of Polaris Office’s security technologies for HandySoft’s groupware solutions and plan to fully integrate NexoneSoft’s solutions in the future, aiming to set a new standard for "security-embedded groupware."
NexoneSoft is a data platform service specialist with robust technology and a solid track record. Through this partnership, Polaris Office aims to shed its image as a traditional document software company and accelerate its transformation into a "security platform company." Following its recent collaboration with Aton, this alliance with NexoneSoft further expands the rapidly growing scope of its security business.
A NexoneSoft representative stated, "This partnership is significant in that it secures a long-term growth engine for both companies by combining our technological strengths. We will actively respond to new markets by jointly developing an all-in-one security package that covers authentication and security, as well as a next-generation work system response package based on generative AI and LLM."
A Polaris Office representative commented, "This collaboration goes beyond technical integration; it demonstrates our commitment to generating tangible results by leveraging HandySoft’s captive and sales channels. Through a security package optimized for HandySoft groupware, we will raise entry barriers in the public and financial markets and enhance shareholder value through synergy among affiliates."
Meanwhile, Polaris Group plans to actively expand industry-specific AI and software ecosystems across various sectors through its affiliates, including Polaris Office, Polaris Sewon, Polaris Uno, Polaris AI, and Polaris AI Pharma, following the acquisition of HandySoft. Polaris Office aims to strengthen its competitiveness as an "AI work platform" based on its global user base and plans to expand platform subscriptions, focusing on corporate and public sector clients.
