Kyungbok University Receives Commendation from Northern Gyeonggi Veterans Affairs Office Director for Promoting Veterans' Culture

The College of Lifelong Education at Kyungbok University received a commendation from the Director of the Northern Gyeonggi Veterans Affairs Office of the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs for its contributions to promoting veterans' culture.

The College of Lifelong Education at Kyungbok University was recognized for operating the "Veterans Volunteer Program," which provides practical support to national merit recipients and their families, as part of a veterans volunteer agreement signed with the Northern Gyeonggi Veterans Affairs Office.

An Jia, a professor in the Department of Visual Media Content at Kyungbok University, stated, "This project, which utilized AI technology, was a process of reflecting on the lives of each and every independence patriot and the meaning of national defense and veterans affairs in today's language." She added, "We will continue to promote the spread of veterans' culture among the younger generation by creating veterans-related content that combines technology and creativity, encouraging natural empathy and participation."

Meanwhile, students who participated in this veterans volunteer activity were granted volunteer hours recognized by the Northern Gyeonggi Veterans Affairs Office, as well as benefits linked to the mileage scholarship program. In addition, commendations were awarded to departments and students who achieved outstanding results.
