A woman in her 60s, who lost consciousness after collapsing while doing housework, has given new life to three people through brain-dead organ donation before passing away.

On January 22, the Korea Organ and Tissue Donation Agency announced that on November 14 of last year, Jisun Jeong (68) saved the lives of three people through brain-dead organ donation at Korea University Guro Hospital.

On November 3 of last year, Jeong collapsed at home while washing dishes, complaining of a headache. Although she was transferred to the hospital and received intensive treatment from the medical staff, she did not regain consciousness and fell into a brain-dead state. She went on to donate her liver and both kidneys, saving the precious lives of three people.

Her family found it difficult to accept that Jeong would not wake up from her brain-dead state, but decided to proceed with the donation, believing it would be meaningful to remember her as someone who saved lives at the end of her own.

Born in Seoul as the youngest of seven siblings, Jeong was known for her bright and caring personality, often moved to both tears and laughter. She enjoyed listening to songs by singer Na Hoon-a during her free time and loved traveling and taking walks.

From the age of 19, Jeong devoted herself to nursing her father, who had suffered a stroke, for more than seven years until his passing. She was a devoted daughter, always putting her family first and making personal sacrifices for them.

Her daughter, Yu-Kyung Eo, shared a final message to her late mother: "I never had a moment in my life when I missed you, Mom, because you were always by my side. But now, after about two months, I miss you so much. I may not be able to be just like you, but I will take good care of Dad and the rest of the family. Please rest peacefully in heaven. I love you."
