Signing of Business Agreement to Revitalize Regional Tourism
On January 22, Goseong County in South Gyeongsang Province signed a business agreement with the Seoul Tourism Association at the association’s conference room to revitalize regional tourism and advance the tourism industry.
This agreement was established to promote the joint development of Goseong County and the Seoul Tourism Association, expand the attraction of tourists through mutual cooperation, and build a sustainable tourism ecosystem.
The main points include: mutual cooperation for the development and promotion of the tourism industry; sharing of human and material resources and information between the two organizations regarding tourism assets; and mutual support for the promotion of culture and tourism, including festivals, events, and tourism resources.
Under the agreement, Goseong County and the Seoul Tourism Association will establish a practical cooperative system to provide and promote regional tourism information, and actively collaborate to attract tourists and develop the local tourism industry.
No Seokcheol, Director of Tourism Promotion, stated, "Goseong County is developing into a stay-type marine and ecological tourism city based on its abundant ecological resources, such as the Dinosaur Expo, eagles, and the Jaranman Marine Healing Center. Leveraging this agreement, we will strengthen exchanges and cooperation with the Seoul Tourism Association, which is leading the development of Korea’s tourism industry, to attract more tourists from the metropolitan area and create new tourism industry models."
