Fire at Geoje Fishermen’s Rest Greenhouse ... No Casualties Reported

Firefighters are conducting extinguishing operations at the site of a fire in a vinyl greenhouse used as a resting place for fishermen in Geoje-myeon, Geoje-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. Provided by Gyeongsangnam-do Fire Headquarters

At around 7:15 p.m. on January 21, a fire broke out in a vinyl greenhouse in Geoje-myeon, Geoje City, Gyeongnam Province.

Due to the fire, the greenhouse and two nearby container units were completely destroyed, and a leisure boat placed on land was also burned.

No casualties were reported.

The greenhouse was found to be used as a resting place for fishermen.

Upon receiving the report, the fire authorities mobilized 36 personnel and 13 pieces of equipment, and fully extinguished the fire by around 8:30 p.m. that day.

The police and fire authorities are conducting a joint inspection to determine the exact cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
