This agreement was established to build a sustainable education cooperation system in which schools and the local community work together to raise children.

The Gyeongbuk Future Education District is a project in which the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education and local governments collaborate to establish an educational cooperation system that involves both schools and the community, aiming to create a favorable environment for raising children.

Seongju County was additionally designated as a Gyeongbuk Future Education District for 2026 through a project proposal conducted by the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education last year.

Through this agreement, Seongju County will share the vision and direction of the Future Education District with the Gyeongsangbuk-do Office of Education and will actively promote the operation of community-linked curricula and the establishment of an educational cooperation system from 2026 to 2029, over a period of four years.

Seongju County has continuously implemented various educational support projects to foster local talent and strengthen educational competitiveness. Centered on the Seongju County Byeolgoeul Scholarship Foundation, a county-funded institution, it has established a customized educational support system tailored to each stage of student development.

Based on these educational achievements and accumulated experience, Seongju County plans to stably promote the Future Education District project by reflecting the characteristics and conditions of the region, and will continue to actively provide administrative and financial support in line with the policy direction of the provincial office of education.

A Seongju County official stated, "This agreement marks the starting point of sustainable educational cooperation, where the region and schools grow together beyond short-term projects," adding, "We will do our utmost to create a future education environment where children can learn and grow within their community."
