Daejeon Technopark is recruiting companies to participate in the "2026 Demand-Driven Demonstration Testbed Support Program" to support the commercialization of innovative technologies held by local businesses.

This program will provide opportunities for demonstration and testing in real-world environments based on public infrastructure, aiming to commercialize companies' innovative technology products and services.

This year, Daejeon Technopark plans to select six small and venture businesses based in Daejeon, providing each with approximately 100 million won in project funding for up to one year and two months.

Among these, the "Demand-Driven Demonstration Testbed Support Program" will support two companies with up to 80 million won each, and applications will be accepted until January 30. In addition, a program that links demonstration and policy funding through the "Daejeon-type BIRD Project" in collaboration with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and Daejeon City will also be promoted.

The Daejeon-type BIRD Project consists of step-by-step support: ▲ Stage 1 Pre R&D (1 billion won in development planning fund guarantees, for about eight companies) ▲ Stage 2 Demonstration R&D by Daejeon City (1 billion won in policy funding, for about four companies, targeting those selected in Stage 1) ▲ Stage 3 Post R&D (priority review for guarantees of up to 3 billion won, for about two companies, targeting those who completed Stage 2). Applications will be accepted until February 12.

Companies that successfully complete the project will receive a demonstration confirmation certificate from Daejeon City as well as a performance verification certificate from K-Testbed, which can be used for future public procurement and market development.

K-Testbed is a pan-government integrated platform that supports the demonstration of new technologies and prototypes by small and venture businesses, connects them to public procurement, and helps them enter overseas markets. Sixty-five public and private institutions nationwide participate, and Daejeon City is the only local government involved.

For detailed information about eligibility, application procedures, and other announcements, please visit the Daejeon Technopark website or the Daejeon Business Information Portal (DIPS).

Kim Wooyeon, President of Daejeon Technopark, stated, "We are increasing the possibility of technology commercialization by providing demonstration support focused on business demand," and added, "We will continue to support Daejeon in becoming a central city for technology verification and demonstration through ongoing efforts in demonstration, commercialization, and investment linkage."
