Bodyfriend announced on January 22 that it has launched its AI healthcare robot, ‘Da Vinci AI’.

Da Vinci AI is a product that measures and analyzes users’ real-time biometric data, allowing artificial intelligence (AI) to recommend the most suitable massage program. While receiving a massage, users can check biometric indicators such as their fatigue index via a tablet remote control, and also see the reasons why the AI recommended a particular massage program.

Da Vinci AI uses a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor to measure key biometric indicators such as heart rate, heart rate variability, and oxygen saturation. By analyzing these indicators, the device assesses the user’s level of fatigue and tension, and the AI suggests the optimal massage program to aid recovery.

Depending on the measured heart rate and heart rate variability, the device also offers a ‘Heart Rate Synchronized Music Care’ function, which adjusts the tempo (BPM) of the music in five levels. Biometric data is provided in a dashboard format, allowing users to continuously track and manage their health status.

Users can also receive AI-recommended massages based on their gender, age, height, and weight. The device includes features that recommend and provide massages according to temperament information such as Saju (Four Pillars of Destiny) and zodiac signs.

Given that important personal physical data is stored, security and safety have been enhanced. A 10.4-inch tablet incorporates facial recognition and PIN login methods, and a total of 17 safety sensors have been installed to further improve safety.
