Four-Time KPGA Winner and Three-Time Asian Tour Champion
Secured Top Spot at LIV Golf Promotion Earlier This Month
"My Dream Is to Win a Major Championship Like the Masters"
Korean-Canadian golfer Taehun Lee, who is competing in LIV Golf this year, has set his sights on winning the championship.
In an interview held on January 21 at the Madcatz Flagship Store in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, Lee said, "It is true that I feel some pressure playing alongside world-class golfers in LIV Golf," adding, "With a mindset focused on learning, I will upgrade my game and strive to win."
Lee has four victories on the Korea Professional Golfers’ Association (KPGA) Tour and three wins on the Asian Tour. Earlier this month, he secured his LIV Golf seed by finishing first at the LIV Golf Promotion event held in Lecanto, Florida, United States.

Looking ahead to his LIV Golf debut, he explained, "I did not achieve a good result at the PGA Tour Qualifying School in December last year, but since I was in good physical condition, I decided to enter the LIV Promotion event. Because I applied somewhat late, I had to start from the first round instead of the originally qualified second round, but I ended up finishing in first place," describing his journey to LIV Golf.
Lee, who won the KPGA Tour Woori Financial Championship in April last year, said, "Last year’s good results boosted my confidence," and added, "My putting and shot-making were both excellent at the LIV Promotion event." He expressed his confidence by saying, "I have learned a lot by competing in various tournaments such as the KPGA Tour and Asian Tour, and I feel that my performance is reaching its peak."
With the opening match of the LIV Golf season scheduled for early February, Lee stated, "Rather than focusing on technical aspects, I will prioritize physical conditioning," and explained, "Since there are many big, long-hitting players in LIV Golf, I am also working on bulking up." He continued, "While money is important, I simply want to give my all to the sport I love, wherever I play," emphasizing, "My goal is to win a major championship like the Masters, which has been my dream since childhood."
