Cheongdo County to Accept Applications for 2026 Farmer and Fisherman Allowance

Cheongdo County (Governor Kim Hasu) announced that applications for the 2026 Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will be accepted from February 1 to March 13, 2026.

Applications can be submitted in two ways: by visiting the local town or township office in person, or online through the Gyeongsangbuk-do app 'Moiso'.

However, if online application is not possible, applicants must apply in person.

Eligible applicants are farmers who have completed registration as an agricultural or fishery business entity by December 31, 2024, and who, as of the same date, have maintained their resident registration within Gyeongsangbuk-do, continuously engaged in farming, and resided in the region.

Cheongdo County plans to provide a lump sum payment of 600,000 won to the dedicated Farmer and Fisherman Allowance card during the first half of the year, aiming to offer substantial support for the management stability of farming households.

Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County, stated, "I hope the Farmer and Fisherman Allowance will provide some relief and help stabilize the livelihoods of farming households struggling with aging populations and climate change. I also expect it to bring new vitality to the local economy, and I will continue to do my best to ensure stable incomes for farmers in the future."
