A new cultural exhibition space for local artists and residents is opening in Jangheung-eup, Jangheung County, South Jeolla Province. The "Iroumi Gallery," located on the first floor of the Jangheung Healing Therapy Center, will launch its opening with a tourism photography exhibition.
The Iroumi Gallery will host its inaugural exhibition, a photography show themed "Where Light Stays, Embracing Rest," for two weeks from January 22 to February 4. This marks the first exhibition since the gallery's opening.
The exhibition is hosted and organized by the Jangheung County Branch of the Korea Photographers Association, with support from Jangheung County and the Jangheung County Rural Vitality Center.
The exhibition will showcase photographs featuring the four seasons and scenic landscapes of Jangheung, focusing on award-winning works from the "Jeongnamjin Jangheung Tourism Photo Contest." The exhibition is designed to present a wide variety of Jangheung’s natural beauty and daily life in one place through photographs that document the region’s nature and everyday moments.
The Iroumi Gallery has been established within the Jangheung Healing Therapy Center, located in the heart of Jangheung-eup. Moving forward, it aims to provide local residents with opportunities to enjoy culture in their daily lives and offer artists a space for creative activities and exchange.
A representative from the Jangheung County Branch of the Korea Photographers Association said, "We hope visitors will find relaxation in their daily lives through works that capture the beauty of Jangheung," adding, "We look forward to great interest in this exhibition, which artistically showcases the region’s tourism resources."
