Yoon Deokryong, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, Selected as This Year's 'HeForShe Leader'

Yoon Deokryong, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, has been selected as the '2026 Hippo Leader of the Year' in recognition of his contributions to promoting a culture of gender equality.

The 'Hippo Leader' award is part of the global gender equality campaign 'HeForShe,' launched by UN Women in 2014. In Korea, since 2017, it has been awarded to men who support and put into practice the values of gender equality.

Yoon Deokryong, CEO of Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation, was recognized for his efforts to create a sexually equal work environment and establish a sustainable foundation for women's employment through various institutional practices. These include piloting a 4.5-day workweek, introducing 0.5 & 0.75 jobs to innovate work culture, supporting women's re-entry into the workforce and career continuity, and signing business agreements with external organizations to promote women's economic participation.
