Bootcamp is one of Kia's flagship social contribution activities, aiming for a sustainable virtuous cycle rather than one-time material support. In addition to providing vehicles needed on-site, Kia offers a variety of equipment and training related not only to internal combustion engines but also to future automotive technologies such as hybrid and electric vehicles.
This documentary was produced to share the achievements of Bootcamp 1.0 last year and to present the vision for Bootcamp 2.0, which will be promoted this year. Kia has trained a total of 87 professional maintenance technicians in four countries-Mexico, Peru, the Philippines, and Morocco. So far, 34 of them have successfully found employment at local dealerships.
The 50 trainees currently undergoing education in Morocco also plan to receive support in connection with local dealerships after completing their training. This year, the program will expand to include Ecuador, South Africa, and Singapore, bringing the total number of participating countries to seven.
A Kia representative stated, "Bootcamp is a very meaningful and valuable activity that draws a bright future from the deep well of global youth potential. We will continue to expand various programs that provide local partners with opportunities to acquire new skills at global-standard training facilities, while also allowing them to directly experience the Kia brand."
