Upbit Recruiting Schools for 2026 "UP Class Junior" Program

Dunamu, the operator of the digital asset exchange Upbit, announced on January 21 that it will be accepting applications from schools wishing to participate in the 2026 "UP Class Junior" program until February 13.

Upbit Recruiting Schools for 2026 "UP Class Junior" Program

"UP Class Junior" is a rebranding of "Dooniverse," an educational program that Dunamu has operated since May 2022 to enhance digital financial literacy among youth and foster future talent, as part of its generationally tailored financial education initiative, "UP Class." Over the past four years, a total of 29,338 students from 153 schools (cumulative participation) have taken part. In a 2025 satisfaction survey of participating school teachers, the program received a high rating of 97%.

The 2026 "UP Class Junior" will be held at 100 schools, starting with 70 middle schools nationwide and expanding to include special lectures for high school seniors after the college entrance exam. This is double the scale of the previous year. To provide more young people with opportunities for digital financial education, the program will expand its reach beyond the Seoul metropolitan area, Chungcheong, and Gyeongsang regions to include the Jeolla region as well.

In addition, a new "Local Expert Instructor Training" course will be introduced. Outstanding professionals in finance and technology from each region will be selected and trained as specialized instructors for "UP Class Junior," contributing to local job creation and strengthening educational infrastructure. The goal is to establish a sustainable educational environment based on talent development, rather than a one-off program, and to create a virtuous cycle of social contribution by narrowing educational gaps between regions and promoting mutual growth with local communities from a long-term perspective.

The existing curriculum, which has been well-received for combining economic literacy with cutting-edge technology trends such as artificial intelligence (AI), blockchain, and NFTs, will be further enhanced with participatory content such as an "online inter-school quiz competition." This provides students from across the country the opportunity to review and internalize what they have learned, strengthening their digital financial capabilities. Outstanding schools will receive snack trucks, and students will be supported in making donations to their local communities in their own names.

Oh Kyungseok, CEO of Dunamu, stated, "UP Class Junior is a partner that helps Korean youth grow into leaders of the future digital economy," adding, "We will continue to fulfill our social responsibilities based on the knowledge and experience gained through Upbit and lead the way in creating a society without financial exclusion."

Further details regarding applications for the 2026 "UP Class Junior" program can be found on the official UP Class Junior website.
