One Vehicle Handles Collection and Delivery for Multiple Exhibitors
On January 21, CJ Logistics announced that it will introduce "ExBox," an artificial intelligence (AI)-based logistics service dedicated to exhibition cargo, in partnership with the exhibition and convention center COEX.
The two companies agreed to strengthen their collaboration for the operation of ExBox at an event held the previous day at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, attended by Dongwook Kim, Head of Venue Business Division at COEX, Gapju Choi, Head of the Transportation Group at CJ Logistics, and other executives and employees from both companies.

ExBox implements a "Milk Run" collection and delivery system using AI-based automated dispatch and route optimization, after factoring in information such as exhibition schedules, scale, items handled, and booth locations. The Milk Run system is a logistics method inspired by the practice of a single truck visiting multiple households to collect empty milk bottles and deliver new ones, allowing one vehicle to visit several companies for collection and delivery. ExBox plans to provide one-stop logistics support for participating companies, covering the entire process from exhibition preparation to post-event retrieval.
CJ Logistics will serve as the logistics control tower for ExBox, leveraging its nationwide network of approximately 880 logistics centers and 290 delivery networks. COEX will encourage exhibition organizers and participating companies to use ExBox and, together with CJ Logistics, will gradually expand the service’s features.
Dongwook Kim, Head of Venue Business Division at COEX, stated, "Exhibition logistics is a core element directly linked to operational efficiency and safety. With the introduction of ExBox, we expect not only to alleviate parking congestion but also to enhance service quality in a way that both participating companies and visitors will notice."
Gapju Choi, Head of the Transportation Group at CJ Logistics, said, "We will work to improve the safety of exhibition venues and the convenience of our clients by providing real-time management of the entire exhibition logistics process and establishing dedicated personnel and systems."
