Visiting 20 Community Centers to Communicate System Revisions
Seongbuk-gu in Seoul (Mayor Lee Seungro) will visit local community centers to provide training for public welfare officers. From January 26 to February 13, over a three-week period, the district will tour 20 community centers to conduct the "2026 First Half Public Welfare Officer Training and Meeting." A total of 75 public welfare officers will participate.
This training has been organized to reduce the workload for officers newly assigned due to personnel changes in January and to proactively prevent delays in civil service processing. The program aims to systematically communicate updates to the social security benefit system so that officers can immediately apply them in the field.
Key training topics include: ▲ Major revisions to social security benefits in 2026 ▲ Application procedures and digital processing using the Haengbogeum system ▲ Sharing frequently encountered civil complaint cases and Q&A sessions. Seongbuk-gu previously improved understanding of the system and enhanced the efficiency of civil complaint processing through this on-site training approach in 2024 and 2025.
A district official stated, "The purpose of these field-oriented trainings and meetings is to reduce disparities in understanding of the system and to standardize cases that were previously handled differently by each community center," adding, "We will continue to support the enhancement of practical capabilities in the welfare field going forward."
