Brooklyn Beckham Cuts Ties with Parents: "They Tried to Ruin My Relationship with My Wife"

Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest son of global soccer star David Beckham, has revealed a rift with his parents and declared that he is cutting ties with them.

On January 19, Brooklyn stated on his social media, "My parents keep leaking stories about me and my wife to the media," adding, "I had no choice but to speak the truth about the countless lies." He continued, "I'm not being controlled; for the first time in my life, I'm standing up for myself," and claimed, "My parents have always controlled the family's narrative through the media."

Brooklyn revealed that his parents tried to damage his relationship with his wife, Nicola Peltz, before and after their marriage. He said, "There has never been a moment when attempts to ruin my relationship have stopped, from before the wedding until now." He alleged that just before their 2022 wedding, Victoria canceled the making of Nicola's wedding dress at the last minute, forcing them to urgently find another dress. He also confessed that, during preparations for the wedding in Florida, some family members said, "Nicola is neither blood nor family."

Additionally, Brooklyn detailed what happened on the day of the wedding. He recalled, "Instead of the planned first dance with my wife in front of 500 guests, my mother called me onto the stage and danced inappropriately with me," adding, "There has never been a moment as uncomfortable and humiliating as that day."

Brooklyn also said that he has been continuously ignored by his family and claimed he was pressured to sign documents relinquishing rights to his name just before the wedding. He stated that when he refused, their attitude toward him changed drastically. He went on to expose his family's obsession with public promotions and advertising contracts, criticizing them for prioritizing the "Beckham brand."

He also refuted rumors that his wife is controlling him, writing, "I spent most of my life under my parents' control and suffered from severe anxiety. After distancing myself from my family, that anxiety disappeared. I now feel peace and relief in my life." He emphasized, "We want peace, privacy, and happiness-not image, publicity, or manipulation."

Brooklyn is the eldest son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham. His wife, Nicola Peltz, is the youngest daughter of renowned Wall Street investor Nelson Peltz, and gained recognition for her role in the film 'Transformers: Age of Extinction.'
