Twin Uncles Add to the Miracle... Family Aims for Guinness Record
First Met Through a Matchmaker
An exceptionally rare wedding took place in China, where twin brothers married twin sisters. What made the event even more remarkable was that both families also had twin uncles, resulting in a total of four pairs of twins appearing in the wedding photos, which became a major topic of conversation in China.
According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP) on January 20, Chinese media outlet Jiupai News reported that both couples only discovered on the day of the wedding that their uncles were also twins. The wedding host called this a "miracle," and the guests were filled with surprise and joy.
Both couples are in their twenties and are from Fuyang, Anhui Province in central China. The two families live close to each other, and their parents met 20 years ago, although they did not know each other well at the time.
The older sister recalled that she initially thought they were too young to date, but could not resist the persistent courtship of the brothers. She said that her in-laws often confuse her with her younger sister, and even their parents sometimes mix up the twin siblings.
However, after spending a long time together and becoming familiar with each other's appearances and personalities, both couples said they rarely confuse one another. The twin brothers live in separate homes located in different areas, and the two families are reportedly attempting to set a Guinness World Record as a "family with four pairs of twins."
Chinese netizens commented, "There are truly bizarre coincidences in the world. This is a perfect example that good things always happen twice," and "What if each couple has their own set of twins? I wonder how lively it would be."
