The inauguration ceremony, held at Sunam Hall in City Hall on this day, was attended by Mayor Bang Sehwan, as well as about 30 related participants, including the citizen reporters and social media supporters. The event focused on the presentation of appointment letters and sharing future activity plans, and also included a writing workshop on article writing guidelines and content planning methods.

The 6th Citizen Reporters group consists of nine members, who will participate in major city events and conduct on-site coverage to discover promotional content and engage in article writing and editing. They will capture a diverse range of citizen voices through the city newsletter "Gwangju Vision" and deliver municipal information more quickly and from multiple perspectives.

The 8th Social Media Supporters group, selected through a public recruitment process in December last year, consists of 25 members. Over the next two years, they will use various social media channels such as blogs, Facebook, Instagram, and KakaoTalk to share information about Gwangju City's culture, tourism, festivals, events, local attractions, and major municipal news with citizens.

Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "The citizen reporters and social media supporters each serve as ambassadors representing Gwangju City," and added, "I hope they will widely promote the value and appeal of Gwangju City by acting as a bridge between citizens and the municipal administration."
