Ansan City Opens 17th "Community Care Center" in Seonbu 2-dong

On January 20, Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province held the opening ceremony for the 17th "Community Care Center," named the "Seonbu Happiness Value Nurturing Center," located in Seonbu-dong, Danwon-gu.

The "Community Care Center" is a facility that utilizes unused spaces in residential community facilities or public buildings to provide services aimed at addressing gaps in after-school care for elementary school students. Regardless of income level, the center offers programs such as reading and homework guidance to all elementary students who need care.

This new center was established in a commercial space at Ansan Happy Housing on 35 Seonbu-ro, in response to increased demand for elementary student care following the influx of new apartment residents in the Seonbu 2-dong area. To open the center, the city signed a non-profit free-use agreement with Ansan Urban Corporation.

Lee Mingun, Mayor of Ansan City, stated, "We will continue to expand the Community Care Centers by identifying unused spaces, thereby building a care environment in Ansan where both parents and children can feel secure."
