The police, who are investigating allegations of corruption in public servant recruitment, have conducted another raid on the Gangseo District Council in Seoul.
On the morning of January 20, at around 10 a.m., the Gangseo Police Station in Seoul carried out a search and seizure operation at the offices of the council chairperson and the operations committee chairperson of the Gangseo District Council.
In September of last year, the police launched an investigation after receiving the case from the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission, which had received a report regarding recruitment corruption at the Gangseo District Council.
On November 11 of last year, the police had already conducted a search and seizure to verify the findings of the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission's investigation.
The police plan to continue their investigation by analyzing the evidence secured through this latest raid.
