Yangju City Recruiting 34 Households for 'Gyeonggi-do Housing Renovation Project' for Vulnerable Groups

Yangju City in Gyeonggi Province is now accepting applications for the '2026 Gyeonggi-do Housing Renovation Project,' aimed at improving the residential conditions of vulnerable groups urgently in need of better living environments.

This project consists of three programs: ▲Senior Safety Housing ▲Sunshine Housing ▲Child Household Clean Service. A total of 34 households, including preliminary candidates, will be selected.


The 'Senior Safety Housing' program targets recipients of the basic pension aged 65 or older, providing up to 5 million won per household to enhance residential safety for the elderly. Main support items include lowering door thresholds, installing non-slip flooring, and adding ramps and safety handles.


The 'Sunshine Housing' program supports low-income households earning 50% or less of the median income (up to 3.24 million won per month for a four-person household) by improving energy efficiency to reduce heating and electricity costs. Up to 5 million won per household is provided for replacing windows and doors, reinforcing wall insulation, replacing boilers, installing LED lighting, and installing high-efficiency heating and cooling systems.


The 'Child Household Clean Service' program, funded by lottery proceeds, supports children living in poor residential conditions such as semi-basement or rooftop homes by improving their living environment and hygiene. The program offers clean services such as disinfection, pest control, wallpaper and flooring replacement, and cleaning, as well as providing items like heating and cooling units, air purifiers, washing machines, and dryers. The support is up to 3 million won per household.


Applications for the 'Senior Safety Housing' and 'Sunshine Housing' programs are open until February 19, and for the 'Child Household Clean Service' program until March 6. Applications can be submitted at the local Eup, Myeon, or Dong Administrative Welfare Centers.
