Blue House Launches 'Integrated Local Government Fiscal Support TF' Led by Chief Policy Secretary Kim Yongbeom

On January 20, the Blue House announced the formation of the "Integrated Local Government Fiscal Support Task Force (TF)" to discuss local fiscal support measures.

According to a written briefing by Kim Namjun, spokesperson for the Blue House, the head of the TF will be the Chief Presidential Secretary for Policy, while the Secretary for Fiscal Planning and the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Planning and Budget will serve as co-coordinators.

Additionally, the Senior Presidential Secretary for Political Affairs and the Senior Presidential Secretary for Economic Growth will participate as members, and vice ministers from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and Ministry of Education are also included in the TF.

Spokesperson Kim stated, "We also plan to operate a working-level TF led by the Blue House Secretary for Fiscal Planning, composed of director-level officials from relevant government ministries as well as senior secretaries and administrators from the Blue House." He added, "The government will promptly hold the first meeting within January and will swiftly devise and announce detailed measures for integrated local government fiscal support."
