Kim Hakrae Appointed Honorary Chairperson of the Busan International Comedy Festival

The Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) announced on January 20 that it has appointed Kim Hakrae, President of the Broadcasting Comedians Association, as its Honorary Chairperson.

Kim Junho, Executive Committee Chairman of the Busan International Comedy Festival Organizing Committee, presented the letter of appointment to Kim Hakrae at the appointment ceremony held at the Korea Broadcasting Actors Union in Seoul on January 19.

The Organizing Committee stated that this appointment aims to strengthen the overall expertise and network of the comedy industry. Kim Hakrae will play a key role in various areas, including setting the strategic direction of the festival and providing program advisory support.

An official from the Organizing Committee said, "This appointment will serve as an important turning point for the Busan International Comedy Festival to establish itself as a leading festival representing Korea," adding, "We will do our utmost to expand cooperation with the industry and enhance the global competitiveness of K-Comedy."
