On January 19, Gapyeong County held a meeting at the county office with public relations officers from military units stationed in the area. The participants exchanged views on feasible regional promotion initiatives that could be carried out in practical cooperation, while respecting military security standards and the circumstances of each unit. The meeting was organized to move beyond traditional promotional methods by developing on-site, trustworthy SNS content and to establish a mutually beneficial promotional model involving both the military and the local community.

During the meeting, attendees engaged in broad discussions on SNS promotion strategies based on the voluntary participation of military personnel, the potential for joint promotional efforts linking military open-house events with local festivals, and ways to utilize friendly, approachable content. In particular, there was a consensus that content introducing the region from the perspective of military personnel could breathe new life into local promotion efforts.

Gapyeong County plans to gradually advance its collaboration with military units based on the suggestions raised during the meeting. The county will also consider ways to formally recognize both staff and soldiers who contribute to military and local government publicity efforts.

A Gapyeong County official stated, "This meeting was not a one-sided request for cooperation, but rather an opportunity to jointly consider collaborative approaches that fully take into account the circumstances of the military units," adding, "We aim to develop a sustainable promotional model that naturally connects the military and the local community."
