Ready-to-Eat Meals Including Triangular Kimbap and Sandwiches to Launch Next Month
Seven Eleven announced on January 20 that it will launch a variety of ready-to-eat meals, including triangular kimbap, sandwiches, and hamburgers, starting February 3. These new products are created in collaboration with Chef Yoon Nara, who gained recognition for reinterpreting traditional Korean liquor and cuisine with a modern twist on a cooking competition program.

On January 15, Seven Eleven also announced a collaboration with Chef Hudukjuk, a renowned Chinese cuisine expert and one of the top three finalists in the competition. Starting January 21, three ready-to-eat meals developed with Chef Hudukjuk will be available.
To continue the momentum of its star chef marketing, Seven Eleven has partnered with Chef Yoon Nara, the owner-chef of Yoonjudang in Haebangchon. At Yoonjudang, Chef Yoon Nara is known as “Yoonjumoma” among traditional liquor enthusiasts and foreign visitors in Haebangchon, offering a tasting course called “Jumoui Hansang” that features house-brewed liquor and Korean side dishes. The venue is also a favorite spot among many well-known celebrities.
The ready-to-eat meals developed with Chef Yoon Nara include three products: “Yoonjumoma Juicy Galbi Radish Salad Triangular Kimbap,” “Yoonjumoma Juicy Galbi Toast,” and “Yoonjumoma Spicy Galbi Ssam Burger.” The key feature of these new meals is that they incorporate all three elements-galbi (braised short ribs), radish salad, and ssamjang (Korean dipping sauce)-from the “Braised Short Ribs and Radish Salad Ssam” dish, which earned Chef Yoon Nara first place in the Top 7 round of the competition.
The Yoonjumoma Juicy Galbi Toast is a sandwich featuring sweet pork galbi prepared with Yoonjumoma’s secret recipe, topped with crunchy cabbage salad. The Yoonjumoma Spicy Galbi Ssam Burger applies Yoonjumoma’s ssamjang recipe, which is currently going viral on social networking services (SNS), to a galbi-flavored burger, and includes spicy Cheongyang chili peppers and romaine lettuce to create the authentic taste of a Korean ssam in burger form.
Related promotions are also underway. Until February 28, customers can purchase Yoonjumoma ready-to-eat meals at a 20% discount when paying with Kakao Pay Money or Lotte Card. In addition, those who purchase the Yoonjumoma Juicy Galbi Radish Salad Triangular Kimbap or Yoonjumoma Juicy Galbi Toast can buy a 250ml can of Chilsung Cider Zero at a 50% combo discount.
Seven Eleven plans to further expand its collaboration with Yoonjumoma into the alcoholic beverages category in the future. Lim Iseon, Head of the Food Team at Seven Eleven, stated, “Convenience stores are channels with excellent temporal and physical accessibility, allowing customers to enjoy star chefs’ creations regardless of distance or time. We will continue to strengthen collaborations with various chefs so that customers can experience high-end gourmet meals at reasonable prices in their daily lives.”
